This website is run by Ruben Esveld from the Netherlands. This page explains what personal data the site handles, why, and what your rights are. The short version: there are no tracking cookies, no advertising trackers, and the only personal data I receive is what you send me through the contact form.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, I receive your name, email address, subject and message. I use these only to read and answer your message. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in replying to people who contact me, or your request to me.
The message is delivered to my inbox by an email service (Resend), which processes it on my behalf. I keep messages as long as needed for our conversation and delete them when they're no longer needed.
To keep out spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that runs in your browser. It doesn't use tracking cookies and isn't used for advertising.
Hosting and statistics
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical details (such as your browser type) to deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks.
To see how many people visit and which pages are popular, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you across websites, and only shows me totals.
The site looks up which country you're in (from Cloudflare's data) to choose between bol.com and Amazon for shop links. This isn't stored.
Cookies
This website doesn't set any cookies.
Content from Twitch, Instagram and TikTok
Stream information, clips and Instagram posts are fetched by this website's own server, and the images are shown through anotherruben.com. Your browser doesn't connect to Twitch or Instagram until you click a link to go there.
TikTok videos only load when you click play. From that moment, TikTok's own privacy policy applies.
Links to other websites
Links to Twitch, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, shops and partners take you to their websites. Their own privacy policies apply there. Some shop links are affiliate links: the shop can see that you came from this site, and I may earn a commission if you buy something.
Your rights
You can ask me to see, correct or delete the personal data I have about you, or object to how I use it. Use the contact form or email the address below. If you think I'm not handling your data properly, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
